1752 Josiah Robbins Dea. Webber place. Came from Townsend with his family, began the farm on the Dea. Webber place. R. soon after 1774, and died at Stoddard in 1787. There is a tradition that his wife died, that he married again and died, and that he and his first wife were buried in the old grave yard, by the side of his son Amos. Last on tax list Oct 1774.

BIRTHS: I had the opportunity to go to Mason and research in the Mason Historical room. I discovered a little record book for Dr. Willis Johnson who worked in Jaffery from 1808 – 1814 then in Mason from July 1814 to after 1858. I was able to make photo copies of this wonderful little book. It is a Birthing Book recording the date, husband’s name, and sex of the child. Notice that the good Dr. changed the spelling as the years went on. Where you see a [?] this means the copy machine cut off that part of the page, unfortunately. I found the following Robbins entries:
